Scheduling Guidelines

Use scheduling to allow users to set a sending date and time for a message.

Structure

  1. Scheduling section title
  2. Scheduling radio buttons
  3. Date picker
  4. Timezone selector
  5. Launch button
  6. Unschedule button

Best Practices

Scheduling should:

  • Be placed at the end of a message creation flow in a checkout-like experience.
  • Have "Launch now" selected by default.
  • Change the Launch button text to "Launch later" when a future date and time is selected.
  • Have today's date and time selected by default.
  • Provide a way to unschedule a scheduled message if the scheduled date and time has not yet been reached (Unschedule button).
  • Provide a status for the message that is visible on the overview.

Try to avoid:

  • Showing scheduling without informing users of the impact of their message — that is, showing the number of potential contacts the message will reach with the set schedule.
